I cant believe its a month since i touched this page, anyway, all my mates are having kids, and ours aint far away now, but in the meantime, me and wild Geeson went to.........
................The scottish champs
Freezing, wet, muddy, but not a seven hour drive, someone dragged rheola up the west coast and dumped it an our from my door, race day was however pretty cool, we spent most of the day with our hosts, Ray and Linda Cunningham, (gumps parents) sipping coffee and scranning steak and gravy pies, and we're a bit too old for all this anyway? theres talk afoot of ruaridh being offered some good rides next year, i cant believe its only been a couple of years since Scott and Carl packed him and Joe Barnes into a tranny van and started them on thier way, how quick time goes by eh? the Craic was good as usual, and all the usual suspects were there, apart from the usual masters and most of the irish, as the world masters champs was on the same weekend in pra-loup, fair enough eh, south of france or dumfries, bit of a no brainer eh? Anyway, who won....... we did really!! three podiums had the tops occupied by our co-sponsored riders, and we gained two Scottish Campions for our records.
Lewis Buchanan. last/dtd/mfx 1st (scottish juvenile champ)
Jaymie Mart. team barbados/mfx 1st
As i keep saying, our paint makes you quicker, the proof's in the puddin'
Factory Jackson or what!, gump trims his spike for the big push!!

Well, what a day, theres a buzz around the junior catagories of downhill racing right now, both at national and international level, not least created my the battle between Josh Bryceland (royal/santacruz) and our guy Ruaridh Cunningham (Bikelove Glasgow)'
On sunday at the 4th round of the Nissan UCI world cup at Schladming saw Ruaridh wrestle back the overall world cup leaders jersey from josh, with an amazing 17th place making him first junior over the line, this leaves him a series leader just 16 points ahead of Bryceland and with the guys both travelling to Maribor for the next round for the first time, the playing field is well and truly level and set up for an amazing finale.

We we went down to the woods today....Me and Carl went for a (long) day out on the bike today, i had to mention it, as it was a blast, went to inners with Guy who was lovin' his new 888's then we retired to Glentress with George and Billy, soakin' in the rays at the freeride park, trying to look like we knew what we were doing ( which proved difficult as we are both very old and have little talent) George saved the day around 4 o'clock when he whipped out his wee cooker and magic'd up some bacon rolls and coffee, top bloke! a good day had by all, stay tuned for a possible XC race being attended by all of the above!

After some Jibba Jabba with Damien at Dirtworker uk we are proud to be supported by this really cool product.
The dirtworker is a 3.5 gallon 70psi mobile power washer about the size of a briefcase, you fill it up befor you leave, and when your are ready, you plug it into your car cigar lighter and bang, you're off it's a well cool product, saving time, effort and the nagging that inevitably ensues when dragging a dirty bike through the house! you can clean your wellies with it too, in fact anything really, if you want a demo, just ask the guys at the races to show it off, if you want to know about this cool product go to the dirtworker website.

You may remember in december 2006 we painted a bike and helmet to take Dakar racer Robbie Allan across north africa in style.
Well, he made it back, and we finaly spoke to him today, Robbie, who attemped the awesome dakar rally at the ripe age of 65 was in good spirits about his experience, It was Robbie’s first attempt at the awesome north African desert race and he deserves tremendous respect for even thinking about tackling the world’s toughest event.
However, after completing several awesome stages that saw many retirements from much younger, fitter men, Robbie’s adventure sadly came to an end on stage seven during a horrific sand storm, which forced the organisers to reduce the length of the stage for safety reasons. Robbie succumbed to an asthma attack and just could not proceed.
Well done Robbie, mucho respect, Robbie is also one of the driving forces behind the Scottish motor sport show, to be held at Lanark this year, get along and meet the legend!!!

Just got back from a dark and gloomy Innerliethen and settled the first sponsorship deal of next season, up & coming downhill whippet Lewis Buchanan will be sporting mfxairart livery next year. Lewis has been racing a couple of years now and has had some amazing results, he'll be sporting a couple of D2 helmets with mfx paintwork to his design, incorparating his sponsors logo's and some personal touches of his own, Lewis' dad Grant approached us on the hill at Innerliethen a while ago and we were flabberghasted with his commitment to getting his son to the top of his game, we are exited to be working with lewis, who is a genuine talent for the future, take a second to visit his site and offer some support to this homegrown father / son team.
