Does painting my helmet destroy it?
No, not at mfxairart. We use water based paints to paint your helmet, these are non toxic paints that maintain the same vibrant appearance as thier solvent based equivelants, but we do use normal tough wearing polyuerathane laquer to protect your paint job, so everyones happy
Do i need a new helmet to have it painted?
Its always best to start with a new helmet, but its not a requirement, simply put, a custom job will look better on a new helmet with new pads, new rubbers etc and of course, we can guarantee there are no cracks and chips to deal with, however we do ask that when you send your helmet, it is cleaned to the best of your ability.
If my helmet is chipped, can you fix it?
We can buff and sand minor chips and scratches away, but for safety reasons, we have a threshold we will not go past when doing this, if we think this may be the case, we will contact the customer first.
Should i try and prep it?
No, Not under any circumstances, its often a hinderence to us, we use a step by step proscess for our painting, it will cost no more or no less to let us do it, just take it off, clean it and post it.
Can you get spares?
we can get minimal spare parts at the moment feel free to enquire, this is something we are looking at on a larger scale in the future, if your rubbers are worn, peak damaged or visor scratched we can reccomend suppliers.
Is it more for carbon?
No, we paint carbon helmets for the same rates as polycarbonate and composite helmets, carbon does take a lot more care in prep, but we choose not to penalise you if you want to indulge!
Do you sell helmets?
Not yet, but we're working on it, we can reccomend some suppliers for a few different helmet types, buying your helmet from them ensures a 10% discount from the final price of your custom paint job, e-mail us with your needs and we will try and sort you out.
How do i send it?
Its up to you, courrier or post, but send it packaged in the way you would expect it returned to you, we will accept no responsibility for lost or damaged items posted to us, all helmets must be boxed.

You can pay by cash, cheque, or postal order, also by paypal by clicking the paypal button below and inputting your amount, make all cheques payable to "Allan Doyle" all invoices will be returned under the heading of mfxairart.com for billing purposes. We are not a vat registered company.
